Let me show you around...

Welcome to The Rock at Big White! That's the Gear Locker on the left. Parking spots are where this photo is taken from. Let me give you a tour....

Welcome again. Now you're standing on the deck at the front door. Hot tub is right behind you. That's the smaller of the two rocks on the right.

Front door landing with shelf space and hooks for all your boots and coats. Cans on lower shelf are the bird and squirrel feed. Keep the feeders topped up, please. The birds show their appreciation. Watch. You'll see!

The Kitchen. Loaded with convection oven, microwave, coffee maker and bean grinder, Bodums, frother, blenders, toaster and toaster oven, heaps of pots and pans, spices, condiments, coffee and beans. Plus a window in front of the sink.

The Dining Area. Trinkets, tunes and the best memories made in this room. A nice place to feast after a long day on the mountain.

The Bathroom. No bathtub, but here's the shower. Dual shower heads, separate controls, ambiance lighting...and a big rock. "The shower alone is worth the price of admission," wrote one guest. The new low water consumption toilet has a soft close seat and lid.

The Living Room. The rock fireplace with stairs at left that lead up to The Loft. One of the most popular, cozy, features of The Rock. Ample kindling, firewood and roasting sticks provided. Get gooey marshmallow on the carpeting and the cleaning fee goes up!

The Loft. Behind the fireplace and overlooking the living area. This double bed is best for those no more than 6ft/185cm tall. This bed gets early morning light and is open to the living area below, so not ideal for the late risers.

Sleepy Hollow leads to the two bedrooms in the basement.

Sleepy Hollow again with vintage Big White road sign rescued from a dumpster about 25 years ago.

This is Goat Kick, the first bedroom. Built in queen bed with a double bed below. Steps to the left are from the former Big White Bone Yard chairlift, which is somewhere over near where The Bullet Chair is now.

The second bedroom.

Photo coming.

The window looking down on the deck and hot tub. The Loft is 4 steps up to the right. The stained glass window as made for me by a good friend, talented artist and writer. Let me know if you want to see more of her work.

The Hot Tub for 6 on a large deck. No better way to unwind! The hot tub has no loud, itchy, annoying jets. Just a good heater and very quiet recirculating pump. We prefer to listen to the bird songs, and squirrel and chipmunk chat.

Snowy Hot Tub. If you're lucky, you see this when you look out the window early in the morning! Lifts officially open at 8:45am but they may load you a bit earlier on big pow days. Thank you partrollers and lifties. "Bottom of the Ridge 8:30 SHARP" is the standard call.

The gear locker, wrapped in old straight vintage skis, is conveniently located right off the driveway.

WILDLIFE AT THE ROCK.Shout out to the Big White Fire Department for rescuing my squirrel, Douglas! At Big White, you'll see and hear tons of wildlife such as squirrels  and chipmunks, deer, marmots, foxes, bears and birds such as Stellar's Jay, Whiskey Jack, Red Tail Hawk and the Pine Siskin. At The Rock, enjoy apres-ski on a spacious deck in the hot tub listening to bird songs and chipmunk chatter.
